Christopher Pombo
2D LT, U.S. AIR FORCE
Welcome
Who I am & What I'm doing
I'm a Medical Service Corps officer at Travis Air Force Base, where I work in healthcare administration for the Air Force's largest air mobility wing. I commissioned from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2026 with a degree in Operations Research.
A personal philosophy I adopted a few years ago is to "bite off more than you can chew". Although this phrase is often used as a cautionary warning, and is usually preceded by the words "Don't", "Never", or "It's Unwise to... ", I redefined it as a commitment to personal growth — to take on challenges that scare me, to embrace discomfort, and to step up to responsibility, even when the path is uncertain.
I see the value in taking calculated risks, embracing failure as a teacher, and having the courage to start.
As a deeply motivated, and hardworking individual with a calling to help others, I am confident in my ability to lead, follow, and contribute meaningfully to any organization.
